There are 4 types of sentences in French

The declarative sentence

Il se tient bien à table → He stands well at the table
Le dromadaire marche sur la plage → The dromedary is walking on the beach
La voiture est sur le parking → The car is in the parking lot
La terre est ronde → The earth is round
En Irlande il pleut beaucoup → In Ireland it rains a lot
Il y a une grève nationale aujourd’hui → There is a national strike today
La lampe est allumée → The lamp is on
La moquette et abîmée → The carpet and damaged
Il y a de l’eau dans la tente → There is water in the tent
Les chaussures sont mouillées → The shoes are wet
Elle aime aller à la plage → She likes to go to the beach
Nous allons aller au restaurant ce soir → We are going to the restaurant tonight
Il n’y a rien à faire ici → There is nothing to do here
A force de répéter je m’en souviens → By dint of repeating I remember
Vous êtes en train de répéter votre leçon aujourd’hui → You are repeating your lesson today
La vie est belle → Life is beautiful
La rivière est propre → The river is clean
Le mur de la chambre est sale → The wall bedroom is dirty
La voiture est prorpre maintenant → The car is clean now
J’ai coupé l’herbe du jardin → I cut the grass from the garden
Il y a des embouteillages à l’entrée de la ville →  There are traffic jams at the entrance to the city

The interrogative sentence

Est-ce qu’il y aura du vent demain pour faire du bateau ? → Will there wind tomorrow for sailing ?
Est-ce que vous avez été au cinéma hier ? → Were you at the cinema yesterday ?
Où sont les toilettes, s’il vous plaît ? → Where are the toilets, please ?
Savez-vous s’il y a des toilettes ici ? → Do you know if there are toilets here ?
Vous m’appelez quand vous partez, s’il vous plaît ? → You call me when you leave ?
Comment vous vous appelez ? → Wat is your name ?
Est-ce qu’il fait beau là où vous êtes ? → Is the weather is nice where you are ?
Je n’ai rien apporté, c’est grave ? → I did not bring anything, is it serious ?
Est-ce que tu comprends la consigne ? → Do you understand the instruction ?
Est-ce que tu comprends bien le français ? → Do you understand well the French language ?
Est-ce que vous aller lui en parler ? → Are you going to talk to him about it ?

The imperative sentence

Regardez des deux côtés avant de traverser → Look on both sides before crossing  
Amusez-vous bien → Have fun  
Halte → Halt
Partons → Let us go
Ne pas crier dans les couloirs → Do not shout in the hallways
Habillez vous avant de sortir → Dress before going out
Eteignez les ordinateurs → Turn off computers
Ne vous retournez pas → Do not turn around
Arrête d’embêter ta soeur → Stop bothering your sister
Chante plus fort → Sing louder
Chantons plus fort → let us sing louder
Chantez plus fort → Sing louder
Aidez-moi → Help me
Soyez gentils → Be nice
Restez tranquille → Stay calm
Mets le sac dans la voiture → Put the bag in the car
Va t‘amuser avec tes amis → Go have fun with your friends
Fais attention → Be careful
Jetons les fruits, il sont pourris → Let us throw the fruits, they are rotten
Ecris à ta soeur → Write to your sister
Tenez-vous à la barre, l’escalier est glissant → Hold on to the bar, the stairs are slippery  
Ne viens pas à la maison ce soir → Do not come home tonight

The exclamatory sentences

Il fait beau aujourd’hui ! →  Such a beautiful weather today !
La nature est belle ! → Nature is beautiful !
J’aime parler de toi ! → I like talking about you !
Il est bon ce café ! → This coffee is good !
Quel bon café ! → What a good coffee !
Quel beau garçon ! → What a beautiful boy !
Quels gentils enfants ! → What kind children !
Quelles belles danseuses ! → What beautiful dancers !  
Quelle charmante vendeuse ! → What a charming a saleswoman
Quelle belle journée ! → What a beautiful day !
C’est une journée triste avec la pluie → It is a sad day with the rain
Quel grand garçon maintenant !→ What a big boy now !
Je suis très contente de ton travail ! → I am very happy with your work !
Quelle grosse erreur ! → What a big mistake !
Comme Julien est fort ! → How strong Juline is !
Quel beau spectacle s’offre à nous ! → What a beautiful spectacle we have !
Comme tu es content ! → How happy you are !
Qu’elle est jolie ! → She is beautiful !
Comme il fait froid ! → It is very cold !
Que ces découvertes sont passionnantes ! → How fascinating these discoveries !
Qu’il est content ! → How happy he is !
Que j’ai eu peur ! → How scared I was !
Quels beaux résultats tu as obtenus ! → What great results you got !
