1 – Le chapeau et la lune / the hat and the moon

We went on vacation together. Julie bought a pretty dress for her sister Sophie. The fault mother bought a red hat. The little brother got some candy. Going to our apartment, we were very happy to arrive at our vacation spot. Mum's hat is gone. He's in a tree now. I was not happy, and I did not eat in the evening. Later that night, the moon shone softly. The moon saw the hat in the tree. She put it on her head. She was happy and smiled. I smiled too. The next day, when school was out, I gave my mother another hat, even nicer. She said to me, "The moon gave me this hat." That night the moon and mom put on their hats, it was good. We were happy. A question then occurred to me: « Does the sun want a hat too ? »

It was a cold winter day, the sky was dark blue and the trees were covered in snow. We were approaching the Christmas holidays! But in Santa's chalet, everything was calm. Unfortunately this year Santa Claus was sick. "Ah, then! Are the kids not going to be happy, won't they have Christmas presents? And all of a sudden we heard some noise outside. Santa Claus looked outside the cabin and saw his reindeer waiting for him. But they were tired, as if they had just come back from a race. The queens hid sledges that carried children dressed in all colors. The children jumped out of their sled, and ran towards Santa's chalet. They knocked on the door. " Come ! Says Santa Claus. A little girl walked over to Santa Claus, she had something in her arms. "Since you are sick, Santa, I give you my stuffed animal to stay with you." "Thank you little girl," said Santa Claus, Santa Claus knew the name of each child. Then a little boy came in with a bundle in his arms. "We have been told you are not well, Santa Claus," he said. "My mom knitted this sweater to keep you warm on those cold days." " What a good idea ! Santa Claus said, putting his hand on his shoulder. All the children brought a present to Santa Claus.

Justin was a little boy with brown hair. He lived with his family on a coconut plantation, near a stretch of turquoise blue water. Every morning he balanced a basket on his head and walked towards the body of water. His mother followed him, she also carried a basket, and his father, a fishing net. Her mom washed the clothes on a slab by the body of water and her dad went fishing. Then he brought the net back to the edge and the whole family gathered the fish in the basket. Every once in a while a beaver would get stuck in the fishing net, but Justin released her. One morning when Justin was fishing with his daddy, he said, "If we catch fish too often, there will be a day when there are no more fish!" Her mom laughed and told her to go play. But beside the coconut palms, Justin's mom lay down to rest, she thought of a body of water without fish.
